People have been cultivating Zucchinis since 5,500 BC. For decades, they are grown as backyard vegetables.
Yellow or golden zucchini is a modern hybrid. It is called Cucurbita pepo. You can harvest it in about 30 - 60 days, depending on the cultivar type you grow.
You can find “Goldfinger” “Golden Delight” and “Gold Rush,” cultivars radially available in the market.
Propagation and harvesting:
You can find seeds online. Purchase from a reputed vendor. You can also buy them from nurseries.
Sow the seeds in the garden beds. After germination, harvest the fruits when they become at least 6 inches long. Make sure to maintain the plant by feeding it with recommended fertilizers. Look out for pests and diseases
You can store the harvested zucchinis in refrigerators for up to 2 weeks.
